LOL!

Here's a VIDEO to share with you of Jaclyn laughing at her Daddy. She's been like this when we get home from work, just about every day since she turned 6 month old. She thinks she's HILARIOUS!!! We are definitely loving 6 months!

6 Month Photos!!!

So...I think you all will agree that these pictures are now the winners of the CUTEST PICTURES EVER!!! We were really pleased with how well these ones turned out. It's so much fun to get her pictures taken now that she smiles all of the time and seems to enjoy the attention. You can ask any of the little boys at her daycare and they'll tell you that "Jaclyn is the Princess!"

This one is both Mommy and Daddy's favorite! The best part is that she was sitting up on her own. This is actually the first time we caught it on camera. The pictures we posted earlier were taken after this photo shoot.

Mommy really likes this one too; it looks like she's playing and laughing with the photographer! I think you can tell she was actually having fun with these pictures. They say that 6 months to 9 months are usually the best pictures. So far, it seems they are right!!!

This one was Daddy's second favorite. He likes the close-ups of her beautiful smile (that we are fortunate enough to get to see all the time now)!

LOOK AT THOSE EYES!!! LOVE this picture, even though you can't tell it goes with the whole "Bath Time Theme." We were finished with all of her pictures and had just set her down to get her dressed. The photographer decided she looked cute and wanted to take a quick snapshot. It's funny how it seems that the most un-posed, un-thought-out pictures, end up being some of the cutest!

Welcome Charlee Mae!!!

One of Jaclyn's BFF's, Charlee Mae Priebe, was just born last Sunday, September 13th. We all went up to Redwood City this weekend to meet her. Here she is with her Daddy, Luke; she's absolutely adorable!!!
Here's Charlee with her Uncle John!

Here's Jaclyn and Charlee together. It's amazing what a difference 6 months makes!

The Proud Papas! Casey's dad thought it was funny that we had a big daddy with a big baby, and a little daddy with a little baby! I don't actually think Luke's little, but I guess in comparison to John...;o)

We won't compare big and little in this picture! Can you believe she just had a baby? Wow Casey looks great!

We had a hard time getting Jaclyn to look forward for the camera. She kept looking over at the baby and at Luke!

It's definitely an eye opener to see a newborn again after 6 months. It truly is amazing how small they start out and how quickly they grow. I almost forgot how delicate and little babies are when they are first born, although, we did joke that Jaclyn was never quite this small except for in my tummy. Charlee is 6 pounds, 5 ounces now. (Was 6 lbs, 4 ounces at birth) She is definitely a petite little thing; she completely swims in her newborn clothing! I think this picture gives you a good idea of how tiny she is when you see her head in comparison to the pacifier.

Charlee's already a very alert and active baby (when she's awake)! John and I couldn't believe how much she was squirming and moving around on her playmat; she's already working on holding her head up some during tummy time!

We were so glad to get a chance to meet Charlee Mae and that her and Jaclyn will be so close in age. We are really looking forward to watching them grow up together!!!

OMG She's Sitting Up!!!

Last weekend Grandma bought Jaclyn this Farm Animal Counting Book that makes all kinds of noises for her half birthday...yeah! Mommy and Daddy's FAVORITE!!!! LOL Jaclyn has decided that this is her favorite thing EVER and will sit with the book, completely satisfied, for half an hour at a time! I'm so glad she's taking an interest in books, but that's not the big news this week. Jaclyn's been working on propped sitting for awhile, but since we've introduced this book, she's been working on sitting up all by herself so she can hold and play with the book without Mommy and Daddy's help. We've been practicing this for the last couple of days and now I can even feed her avocado (her favorite food so far) while having her sit in front of me on the floor instead of having to use the high chair. She's also rolling all over the place now. If she wants to get from one place to another, (usually she's going for a toy) she does barrel rolls over and over again until she gets there. She still gets stuck once in awhile, but not for long. As exciting as all of this is, it's also making us VERY nervous for what comes next.... Did I mention I caught her on all fours in her crib recently?
Here's Jaclyn practicing her "Propped Sitting." She's working on moving herself from this position to sitting all the way up on her own. It takes a little while and usually some help from us, but once she's sitting up straight, she's pretty stable.
Her thinking face...we've been seeing this a lot lately as she is constantly exploring her surroundings and trying to figure them out now!
John and I are still trying to figure this one out. Every new toy she gets, she eventually decides that the tag is the most intriguing part. Go figure!

Jaclyn - 5 Months Old!

Ok, so I know she's about to turn 6 months old (in 4 days), and I'm just now posting her 5 month pictures, but I have good reason; I just can't get it together! Being back at work has been sooooooo incredibly difficult, especially having to drop her off at daycare every day. The good news is, our daycare providers are AMAZING and completely spoil her. She definitely gets treated like their little princess and is the center of attention with the three little boys there with her. As I slowly adjust to the life of a working mama, I'm sure I'll do a better job at keeping everyone up to date with Jaclyn's milestones. As for the lastest, she has already cut a bottom front tooth and is working on her second one. She is also eating more solids now. She eats rice cereal, bananas, and carrots. Finally, she is really working on her vowel-consonant sounds, and is making noises that sound very much like "da-da," (which, of course, is being influenced by Daddy every chance he gets)! I told him it doesn't count as a first word until she actually knows what she's saying though! Anyway, enjoy her pictures and OUR FIRST FAMILY PORTRAITS! My favorite is the pouty last one!

Bath Time!!!

Since school has started back up, I've had a really hard time adjusting, and havn't even had close to a chance to keep up on our blog. Thank goodness for this three day weekend to catch up on things. These are pictures of Jaclyn, a couple of weeks ago; the first time in her bath seat.
