Monterey

My parents took us to Monterey for four days for our First Annual "Family Vacation." Since Jaclyn was born, my mom has decided to try to take all of us for a weekend vacation once a year. It was awesome that we went to Monterey this year, since it was right after our 3rd anniversary and that's where we were married. We even stayed at the same lodge where we stayed for our wedding. There's a lot of pictures, so I'll try to keep the comments about them brief. We hope you enjoy, we sure did!!!
Here we are walking to the beach on our first stay there.

Jaclyn has a new fascination with her belly button; she's always playing with it. At home she likes to find Mommy and Daddy's too!

Here she is with Grandma putting her initials in the sand.

Here she is the second day, reading a book with Grandpa before we went to the aquarium.

Here she is with Daddy at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Here's Mommy and Jaclyn in front of the Jelly Fish exhibit.

Jaclyn loved watching the penguins!

They had a really fun baby zone where she could jump around on this mat that is supposed to feel like ocean waves when you lay on it. She had a lot of fun playing on it!

Jaclyn really seemed to enjoy the turtles as well.

Ahhh! Kisses for Daddy!

When we got home from the aquarium, we had a little bit of time to go swimming before dinner. The pool was really warm, but the air outside pretty cold, so we didn't stay in too long.

On Sunday, Auntie Erin came up to hang out for a couple of days!

On Monday we all (except for Daddy who got the stomach flu) went to Dennis the Menace Park to watch Jaclyn play. She played on everything like she was already a "big kid;" it was a real eye opener that she's not a baby any more!

I think she was really proud of herself for crossing the wobbly bridge all by herself!

We had to watch her closely on the "big kid" slides. Like I said, she thinks she's capable of doing everything the other kids do, but forgets little things like sitting down first before going down the slide, which led to a really close call on one of her turns going down it.

I think Grandma was really impressed and surprised that Jaclyn was able to climb up this ladder all by herself.

Jaclyn's first snow cone!!!

Getting ready to go swimming with Auntie in our Tinkerbell swim suit.

Here we are with Daddy, getting ready to go to the aquarium again.

Helping Daddy let the air out of her beach ball after swimming.

The second time at the aquarium.

This was Jaclyn's favorite fish at the aquarium.

Jaclyn got brave enough to reach in a touch a star fish.

I thought this picture was pretty cool of Jaclyn and her Auntie.

Here's our last visit to the beach Monday morning before we left to go home.

Not quite baywatch, but cute nonetheless!
We had to get a family photo on the beach!

Here's Jaclyn walking on the beach, right where we were married!

This was probably my favorite part of the trip; getting a family photo on the beach where we were married! The "shack" recieved a paint job since the last time we were there. Being there brought back great memories for us! All in all, it was a great trip. We really enjoyed ourselves!!!
