My Mom bought us season passes for Marine World last Christmas, and we've been getting our money's worth this month; we've been three times in the last 2 weeks! John and I went a couple of weeks ago when the weather was nice for a day, and we went with both our parents this last weekend. Here's some snapshots from all three trips: Here's Jaclyn with Daddy feeding the Sea Lions. This seems to be one of her favorite things to do right now at the park.
More of Jaclyn with her Daddy!
We weren't sure if she was old enough for the kiddie play area, but she ended up doing pretty well there. It was nice because she could run around on the soft turf and it didn't hurt her when she fell.
She got pretty brave and tried to climb up the stairs by herself. Mommy decided we weren't quite ready for that though; she needs Mommy to help a little longer, right?
We couldn't believe she was able to walk across the ropes by herself too! She could have cared less if I was sitting there or not, she wanted to explore! It was actually quite a bit of work keeping up with her, she's begun to walk away pretty quickly! It's days like these when we truly see how fast she is growing up.
Again, she wanted to go down the slide by herself, but Mommy was being a little protective.
She also loved playing with Daddy in the fountains!
Here's Mommy and Jaclyn on Day two of Marine World. This is the Sunday before Memorial Day. We went down with Grammie and Uncle Jake. This was her playing in the water fountains again.
Here she is soaking wet with her Grammie.
Back in the kiddie play area with Grammie and Daddy.
Did I mention she's gotten pretty good at climbing over things?
So, very cute story here! Jaclyn's newest word is "Khid-ty." We were so proud of her when she started calling the lion a Kitty, we all applauded and praised her for being so smart. Well, apparently, she really likes the attention when she does something impressive, so the rest of the day, any animal was called "Khid-ty." We figure, at least she knows they're all animals!
Here's one of the baby "Khid-ties." They were born last April.
And here was a really big "Khid-ty" sunbathing. She made everyone around us laugh as she called the huge walrus a kitty over and over again!
Here's Daddy and Jaclyn looking at the sturgeon outside the shark tank.
After looking at all the sharks and other fish, Jaclyn decided she wanted her Uncle Jake to carry her. It was really cute because she wasn't too sure about him when our trip first started, but actually reached out for him to hold her after seeing all the sharks.
Here's the beginning of Day 3 at Marine World. My parents came over early to go with her for Memorial Day. I dressed Jaclyn before I looked outside and realized that although it was in the 90's yesterday, today was actually quite chilly. So I had to change her into something warmer, but wanted a couple of pictures of her in this since she looked so cute.
Here's Jaclyn sitting in her chair that her friend Ashley gave her. Her newest "trick" is being able to walk backwards and sit in her seat. She does this over and over again to amuse herself, and us; it's hilarious!
Here's everyone looking at the sea lions again.
Here's Jaclyn and Mommy looking at some fish.
Here's Jaclyn with Grandma and Grandpa watching the Shouka Show. We watched part of the show yesterday with Grammie and Uncle Jake (Uncle Jake actually works with Shouka in the off-season), but she had to leave the show early because the sun was bothering her, so we figured today would be a great day to see the rest of the show.
