The Dinwiddie Family: John, Rebecca, and Jaclyn
This wasn't the best photo shoot for Jaclyn, but we still got a couple of cute ones. We learned an important lesson though; never give your baby antibiotics like amoxicillin before trying to get them to smile on cue. The shoot was about an hour after we medicated her, so she was completely lethargic and ready to fall asleep the entire time. We tried everything to get a real smile out of her, but to no avail!
Jaclyn has been up to a lot this month. Unfortunately we have been dealing with all three of us taking turns getting sick (Jaclyn came down with bronchitis, Daddy had strep throat, and fortunately, I just caught a little cold), so I havn't had much time to update the blog this month! Above, you can see a short slip of her crawling. She now can take about three or four actual crawling steps before she falls and has to resort to more of an "Army Crawl," or simply rolling around to get from one place to another.She's also starting to pull herself up onto her feet to do a hands and feet crawl, instead of using her knees and feet. We're a little nervous that she may be walking before we expected it. It's definitely a lot more work taking care of a mobile baby than a stationary one!!!
Here's another clip of Jaclyn feeding herself Cheerios. It took her a couple of days, but she's definitely got it down. Once again, she thinks she's hilarious and whenever you watch her do something for an extended period of time she starts laughing. SOOO CUTE!!!
Finally, here's Jaclyn on Halloween. She was sick, so we didn't dress her up, but we figured we'd still take pictures of her by the pumpkins Grammie brought over to attract trick or treaters (since we never got around to carving any ourselves this year).
Daddy got to pick Jaclyn's Halloween Outfit this year for her 7 Month Photos. I'm sure none of you are shocked with the outcome! I have to admit, the pictures turned out really cute, especially the ones with the "eye black." I can't believe she let us do all of this to her face without throwing a complete fit!
I was going through my camera and found these pictures from earlier in the month. The top one is a picture of Jaclyn in her crawling stance. She's not quite crawling yet, but gets on all fours like this and rocks back and forth for a little while, until she face plants into the carpet. She can move all over the place by scooting and rolling, which makes us sure crawling is coming very soon. We will get a video of it once she starts for everyone to see!
Jaclyn's first clown. We went to Yountville a couple of weeks ago for their Yountville Days parade. Jaclyn seemed to enjoy all the noise and people passing by, but we're not sure how she felt about the clown!
Nikki told us a couple of weeks ago about the Cool Patch Pumpkin Patch in Dixon, where her and Mike have taken Bella the last two years; so we decided to take Jaclyn there last weekend. It's a really cool pumpkin patch and has one of the largest corn mazes in California. Even though there wasn't much she could do this year, we still had a blast with her and were able to help her pick her own pumpkin right off the vine! We can't wait to take her next year when she's able to play on everything! Above is a picture of Mommy and Jaclyn before we left. Do you like her pink John Deere boots?

My favorite thing about this pumpkin patch is that the pumpkins are actually growing on the vine there! This willl be fun to show Jaclyin in a couple of years.

Jaclyn loved playing with the pumpkin! I don't know if we'll get around to carving any this year, but we will for sure next year!!!Here's a VIDEO to share with you of Jaclyn laughing at her Daddy. She's been like this when we get home from work, just about every day since she turned 6 month old. She thinks she's HILARIOUS!!! We are definitely loving 6 months!
So...I think you all will agree that these pictures are now the winners of the CUTEST PICTURES EVER!!! We were really pleased with how well these ones turned out. It's so much fun to get her pictures taken now that she smiles all of the time and seems to enjoy the attention. You can ask any of the little boys at her daycare and they'll tell you that "Jaclyn is the Princess!" 
This one is both Mommy and Daddy's favorite! The best part is that she was sitting up on her own. This is actually the first time we caught it on camera. The pictures we posted earlier were taken after this photo shoot.
Mommy really likes this one too; it looks like she's playing and laughing with the photographer! I think you can tell she was actually having fun with these pictures. They say that 6 months to 9 months are usually the best pictures. So far, it seems they are right!!!
This one was Daddy's second favorite. He likes the close-ups of her beautiful smile (that we are fortunate enough to get to see all the time now)!
LOOK AT THOSE EYES!!! LOVE this picture, even though you can't tell it goes with the whole "Bath Time Theme." We were finished with all of her pictures and had just set her down to get her dressed. The photographer decided she looked cute and wanted to take a quick snapshot. It's funny how it seems that the most un-posed, un-thought-out pictures, end up being some of the cutest!
