Tilden Park...Thanks Nikki!!!

So, once again, this is from awhile ago, but totally worth posting. Nikki had posted their trip to Tilden Park in Berkley, over the summer, and when John and I saw it, we decided to go check it out the next day. Nikki wasn't kidding when she said the park is AMAZING!!! The park is huge and has so much for kids of all ages to do, you actually have to drive from one part to another. This was definitely one of our favorite spots we found this summer!!!
The farm was our first stop. They let you bring your own celery or lettuce from home, and feed all their goats, cows, and pigs. Jaclyn really enjoyed this!

Can you believe how brave she is? She was only 16 months old then!

Here's the bunnies. She wasn't allowed to feed them, but enjoyed looking at them.

Here's our second time on a carousel...she did much better this time! The carousel is located at another area of the park, right by the lake/beach where you can go swimming, or hike around.

Another area of the park was the train station. There is a train you can pay to ride, and then a lot of different trains that people have built and drive for a hobby. Jaclyn really enjoyed looking at all the trains!

Here's a video of Jaclyn getting ready to ride the carousel. She just LOVES music, which you'll see when you play it.
If you haven't been to Tilden Park, we highly recommend you check it out; even if you don't have kids! We didn't get around to seeing even half of the park, and we were there all day. It's totally worth the drive to Berkley!

SF Zoo

Oh my! Another month has gone by, and I am still catching up on old summer posts! Oh well, I'll catch up eventually. These pictures are from last July when we went to the San Francisco Zoo with Luke, Casey, and Charlee, for Casey's birthday. We liked it so much, we bought a year pass and went back the following weekend with my mom. These are pictures from both trips.
Above is the cutest video of Jaclyn feeding the goats; she did a great job, and was adorable!

Here's Jaclyn and Mommy arriving at the zoo, checking out the giraffes.

Here's a great group shot from Luke!
Look at our beautiful girls; Jaclyn and Charlee!
Another good shot from Luke of all the girls.
And of course we needed a shot of the Daddys with their Daughters. (We made a lot of people jeolous with our beverages. Most people had no clue you could get a beer at the zoo, so we thought we'd do some advertising for them. ;o)
Here's another great shot in front of the monkey cages.

Jaclyn also had a blast at the children's petting zoo; she really liked petting, brushing, and feeding all the animals!

I'm really surprised she wasn't scared here; looks like she's a natural with animals!

Here's the start of our second trip with Grandma.

We decided to try out the Little Puffer...

...but I don't think Jaclyn was a fan!

Jaclyn also rode her first carousel on this trip. She actually did pretty well on it.

Jaclyn kept trying to climb through the fence and was angry that I kept telling her no, but I think this is the cutest angry face I've ever seen.

Here's Jaclyn with Grandma, looking at the llamas.
She went crazy feeding all the animals. She looked like a pro; didn't even need Mommy and Daddy to help her!
This is my favorite picture from the trip; Jaclyn is absolutely adorable!
This is the only point where she got a little scared. I think those horns were a little intimidating. Funny thing is though, that's the same goat from the video at the top of the blog. Maybe it was just getting to be time to go home in this shot.
All in all, it was a great couple of trips! We can't wait to go back and see all the animals again on our next break!

Great Grandma's 86th Birthday

Wow! I can't belive it's been two months since my last post! Since school's started, we've been really busy and I haven't had time to sit down and catch up on this. I knew I was way behind, but to be posting July events in September? Ooops! Where does the time go? Anyway, here's pictures from my Grandma's 86th birthday last July:Here's Jaclyn's first major boo-boo! She fell down the steps at the park, trying to keep up with all the "big kids!" You would think this would slow her down, but already she seems to think she's invincible! At this rate, Daddy and I may go gray before we hit 30!

Here's Jaclyn with Grandma swimming in her pool at the ranch.

...and here's Grandpa playing too! Jaclyn was having so much fun trying to splash him and throw the bowling pins at him!

Here's Jaclyn helping Great Grandma (G.G) with her presents.

Just cute!

Here's Jaclyn petting Kira, Auntie's baby!

This was Jaclyn's newest trick at the time; she's learned to open doors by herself. Now it doesn't even matter if you lock them, she can get them open! Daycare had to install an extra lock at the top of the door because of her!

Where's Porter?
There he is! This is Porter, Auntie's new Queensland puppy!

Here's Jaclyn with Auntie's BIG BABY; Carter.

She uses him like a jungle gym. He is the gentlest horse you've ever met; she can do anything on him!
