Jaclyn's 1st Birthday!

Jaclyn's Birthday was an absolute BLAST! We had so many pictures to sift through, these are the best of the best that we wanted to share with you. We decided to start with the CAKE pictures since these were the highlight of the afternoon. Above are the before pictures of Jaclyn's cake and the TINKERBELL cake we bought for all of her guests. Below is what happened to the cake after Jaclyn got a hold of it:
AND...Here's the AFTER PICTURE! She completely DESTROYED the cake. We couldn't believe how much she ate. At the bottom of the blog is a video of what happened during her whole cake-eating adventure.

My sister owns a business called "Double U Carriages" that she runs with my parents. They contributed to our whole "PRINCESS THEMED PARTY," by bringing their horse and carriage to give rides to all of Jaclyn's guests. She was definitely a spoiled little princess on her special day! Jaclyn and Charlee weren't too sure what to think of Victor, but they ended up enjoying their carriage ride! Here's Jaclyn's friend Jorge, with his mom, Carmen, my Uncle Tim, and Aunt Karen on a ride. Here's Mike, Nikki, Bella, Kali, and Daisy on a ride. Here's Grandma Dinwiddie and Janine. Here's Tony and Cristina on a very romantic looking ride! They're getting married in September, and Jaclyn is going to be their flower girl. Aren't they cute? And of course, I HAD to have a picture with Tommy!I think the carriage was that perfect extra special touch to show Jaclyn what a princess we all think she is!
And now for the party pictures! We decided our house was a little too small to try to cram everyone in, so we had the party at our neighborhood park. We were a little worried about the weather, but it ended up working out perfectly for us!

Here's a good pic of Grammie and Grandpa.
Here's Daddy BBQing for everyone!
Here's Jaclyn with her Auntie Janell, and Jaclyn with Sam,
and Jaclyn with Keri,
and of course, Jaclyn with Mommy!
Jaclyn is starting to walk now, but at her birthday party was only beginning to take a couple of steps at a time. Here's her trying, with Mommy's help! Sam and Keri took Jaclyn on the swings for a bit. She had a blast with them. I took a really cute video of them, which is at the end of this post to share with you. Here's a pretty good shot of the whole group!

Rachel drove down all the way from San Diego for Jaclyn's Birthday!

Here's Jaclyn getting some love from Grandma Dinwiddie

And here's Jaclyn with her friend Ashley, Grandma, and Ken

Present Time!!! Jaclyn really enjoyed opening all of her presents at the end of her evening! She got into it even more this time than she did at Christmas! I don't think there's any need for captions here. You can tell how much she's enjoying herself:
Yeah for Uncle Jake and Katrina! They bought Jaclyn her Halloween outfit for next year; it's a TINKERBELL COSTUME! John and I figure we'll have to decide when it gets closer who will be Peter Pan, and who will be Captain Hook!

Here's Charlee enjoying watching Jaclyn open her presents.

And here's Ashley! Ashley is four days younger than Jaclyn. We had a lot of fun the following weekend going to her first birthday party too! We're really looking forward to watching Jaclyn grow up with our friends' kids, and all of them being friends as well.

Here's Luke and Casey relaxing for a bit at the end of the evening.

AND here's a really cute picture of Dillon and Steph that Janell took!

On Jaclyn's actual birthday, on the 10th, Carmen and Ruben through Jaclyn a party at daycare.

Here's Jaclyn's friends, Tino, Jorge, and Donovan at daycare on her birthday.

That night we went out to the Red Hen for Jaclyn's Birthday Dinner. Here she is with Grammie,

and with Uncle Chris,

AND enjoying her food!

Here's a video of Sam playing with Jaclyn on the swing, making her laugh. It was super cute, so I had to put it on here to share with everyone.

Here's my favorite video! This is of everyone singing "Happy Birthday" to Jaclyn, and of her digging into her cake.

ENJOY!!!

Bathtime Pigtails

Jaclyn finally has enough hair for us to play with. We thought these were just some cute pictures to share!

Valentine's Pictures~ 11 Months Old

We can hardly believe that Jaclyn will be a year old in NINE DAYS!!! This year has definitely flown past us. Here are her 11 Month photos from Valentine's Day. These, once again, were her best pictures yet. We can only hope we have this much luck with her one year photos!
Enjoy!

We don't usually buy the upgraded pictures, but I couldn't turn this one down!

Almost Walking!!!

Jaclyn is very close to walking on her own! We're pretty sure she'll be walking by her birthday, which is (it's hard for us to believe) only two and a half weeks away. We've been busy planning for her first birthday party, as well as with basketball season at school, so have not been able to update as frequently as we'd like. Here's a couple of videos of her practicing walking with her Princess Car Grandma and Grandpa bought her for Christmas. We taped this over the weekend. We will definitely update again after her birthday to share her special day with all of you!

Super Bowl!!!

One of the things we look forward to each year is Sammy and Alisha's SuperBowl Party! It's one of the few times each year that we get to see all of our friends and hang out together. This was the first year with babies at the party, and I have to say, Jaclyn and Charlee both were troopers, and let Casey and I enjoy ourselves during the game! Here's a shot of the girls at half-time!

Jaclyn loved playing with the foam finger during the game!

I love this picture!

Jaclyn and Charlee got to spend quite a bit of time together at the party. Here's their "Stare-Down..." ...and the end result!

It took a little while, but eventually Jaclyn warmed up to Charlee.

I love this picture of Charlee! She looks like a baby doll!
Here's Jaclyn trying to get Mike to pay attention to her instead of looking at Charlee... ...she's learning very quickly how to become an attention hog. I don't think she'll be ready for any brothers or sisters any time soon! Thank Goodness!
