Daddy's 28th Birthday
Easter
As I'm sure you've noticed with our lack of posting on the blog, that we've been really busy this month. STAR testing began last week and we have been killing ourselves preparing our students for it. Fortunately, I finally got a chance this weekend to post Jaclyn's pictures from Easter. It was a lot more fun this year, as she was able to (sort of) hunt for Easter Eggs. Next year, I'm certain will be even better! This year, we went to see my family on the Saturday before Easter, and then had John's family over on Sunday to celebrate Easter and John's Birthday. It was a good thing this weekend was the beginning of our Spring Break because it was definitely a busy one!
Jaclyn had a blast playing on her swing with Grandma!

Jaclyn got to experience her first easter egg hunt. She spent more time sitting and crawling in the grass, but it was still cute to watch her try!

She kept trying to put the eggs in her mouth; maybe this year was was too early to actually dye the eggs! They definitely made a mess!

Here's a good shot of her Tinkerbell Basket; she didn't exactly grasp to concept of putting things INTO her basket, but she LOVED taking everything out of it!
She was still pretty new at walking, so struggled a bit in the grass, but got a hang of it after awhile.

Daddy was very happy that the first thing Jaclyn reached for in her basket was the baseball!

Jaclyn's 1st Birthday ~ Professional Pics!
Jaclyn had the BEST birthday, and we were able to recapture the best parts of it at her professional picture shoot this month. We took "before" pictures of her in her Birthday Tutu, and then "after" pictures with another piece of cake that we gave her to try all over again; she made an even bigger mess this time! It was such a cute idea and we were thrilled JCPenney actually let us do it in their studio! Hope you enjoy!

Eating the cake started out similarly to the way it did at her party...

...but soon she decided to really dig in!
